Be prepared to jump into this action packed weekend as we explore deeper levels of integrative life management and design! In this two day course, we will be teaching specific techniques on how to build a healthier, resilient, and more balanced lifestyle!
The purpose of this course is to teach the tricks of the trade on the most efficient homesteading practices with the ultimate goal being how to build an integrative, healthy, and balanced lifestyle for yourself and your community. We will dive into many topics on how to achieve a more intimate connection between ourselves and the environment including: food forestry techniques and design, restorative gardening & farming practices, plant ID and wild food foraging walks, "farming" in your kitchen, and herbal medicine making to wrap up the weekend!
Each participant will go home with an abundance of knowledge in homesteading and integrative lifestyle and ecological techniques, as well as your own home made medicine cabinet including salves, balms, tinctures, teas, and more! Go to http://www.surpluspermaculture.org/plants-the-permaculture-way/to register for the weekend Intensive course, and to learn more about the teachers and facilitators that will be guiding you along your path to resiliency!
We will be opening up the weekend with a FREE talk by Wayne Weiseman, renowned permaculture consultant and owner of The Permaculture Project, LLC on Friday, December 2 at the Baroque Auditorium. (Located at 284 Calhoun street.)
He will be discussing everything from our relationship with native plants and ecosystems to cultivated food systems and how they are similar, as well as how we can take our knowledge of both to create food producing ecological systems for both humans and the environment.
We look forward to seeing you there!
